Founded in October 2018 by Adrian Pollack and Karolina Dabo, Gestalt New York is a boutique furniture company that offers a beautifully curated selection of brands from around the world. The word Gestalt originated in Germany in the 1920s, literally meaning form or shape. Over time, the word came to stand for an organized whole that is perceived as more than the sum of its parts. This meaning perfectly captures the philosophy of the Gestalt brand; that any and every single piece of furniture is as important as the entire collection. Proudly representing brands from Denmark, Finland, The Netherlands, Japan and Australia, Gestalt strives to bring new and exciting furniture and accessories to the US market. The brands includes Ariake, Grazia & Co, FeelGood Designs, Getama, Warm Nordic, Poiat, Klassik Studio, Friends and Founders, Origin Made and Lowe.

Overflowing with American history, the town of Hudson, New York has seen it all. Two and a half hours north of Manhattan is what was once a thriving industrial city and port as well as a red light capital. Having been abandoned in the 60’s after a downturn in the economy it has experienced an incredible resurgence in recent years. First came the antique dealers capitalizing on the forgotten homes and furniture, then artists and writers, and now it is the hotspot for second homes for Manhattan’s creative community. It is truly a melting pot of design, with a unique relaxed guard.
