Keiji Ashizawa designed the A-DC02 and A-DC03 for Karimoku Case as a pair of dining chairs in solid oak — one with arms, one without. The back is carved from solid wood and curves in to meet the upholstered seat, so the frame reads as soft rather than architectural despite the weight of the timber. The A-DC02 armchair suits the head of a table or a corner on its own; the narrower A-DC03 pulls in close and works in numbers. Both take the same wood and upholstery finishes, so they can be mixed around one table.
