Launched at Milan's Salone del Mobile over thirty years ago, the BD1 Lounge Chair by Björn Dahlström has since entered modern design history — popularly known as the Comma, it is held in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Röhsska Museet in Gothenburg. The premise is simple: a lounge chair in the form of a typographic character, executed with rigor and consistency. Strictly minimalist yet delightfully naïve, the BD1 presents itself as a piece that exists outside of any specific era. Produced by FOGIA in solid oak with a plywood core, elastic webbing, and foam, it is available in four oak finishes and a full range of upholstery categories.
