With the launch of System Cado® in 1960, the Danish designer Poul Cadovius expanded his impressive shelving universe, which included the iconic Royal System® from 1948 and the award-winning System Cado® from 1957.
All three systems were based on the same wall-hung design principle. While Royal System® and System Ultra® were made with hangers in brass or steel, the System Cado® was developed with wooden brackets, making it Poul Cadovius’ first shelving system crafted entirely in wood. The wall-mounted shelving system comes in various wood types and comprises rails, shelves with wooden brackets and different cabinets. The frame of the cabinets has a bevelled edge, which adds a distinctive lightness to the system.
System Cado® was very special to Poul Cadovius, and due to its elegance and versatility, he considered it one of his most exclusive and successful designs ever.
