The En Coffee Table by Ladies & Gentlemen Studio takes its name from the Japanese word for a mysterious, synchronistic bond — the invisible thread that draws people, places, and moments into unexpected alignment. Tectonic in nature, the table draws from the layered visual culture of Japan: the restrained joinery of traditional Saga furniture and the bold geometries of Tokyo's 1980s Postmodern architecture. Autonomous yet quietly dependent on the forms around it, it is composed with a logic closer to Cubist assemblage than rational minimalism.
