The Nera Coffee & Side Table extends Monica Förster’s Nera collection for Zanat, one of the studio’s best-loved families, from stools and bowls into tables. A sculptural base is hand-carved from solid European hardwood, and the colored glass top above it lets the carving show through, softly tinted. Each base is carved by hand in Zanat’s workshop in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where woodcarving is a centuries-old tradition recognized by UNESCO. No two pieces are exactly alike. Used alone or as a pair, the tables are at home in a living room, and they hold up just as well in hospitality and commercial settings.
